PROPERTY FROM A VIRGINIA ESTATE
The present work's title translates to "Holy City of Jerusalem, once capital of the Jewish kingdom, today a colony of Turkey." This work was published in the expanded edition of Munster's famous Cosmographia Universalis, circa 1550. This view of Jerusalem was first published in the 1550 latin edition pages 1016-1019. After 1572, this view of Jeruselum appears on pages 1176-77 of Munster's Cosmographia Universalis. Therefore, the present work with pages numbered 1016-1019 is from an early edition of Cosmographia Universalis.

Condition
There appears to be overall light paper discoloration with faint handling creases and an inherent folding crease down the center of the work; creases at lower left and right corners as well as several scattered spots of discoloration scattered throughout; otherwise, work remains in good overall condition; framed under glass.
