Description
A nice Pre-Columbian steatite maize deity, c. AD 700 - 1300, well-carved the god wears a tall headdress, his hands to either side of his rounded belly. Attached at back is an ear of corn. Intact with good detail and light mineral deposits. H: 2 3/8 in (6 cm). Mounted on a custom base. Ex Indiana private collection.
