Description
A nice Narino effigy vessel in the form of a conjoined couple, Colombia, ca. AD 850 - 1500. Each with one leg and arm depicted, their features rendered with impressed oval eyes and mouth as well as a short pointed nose. Each figure with a spout atop the head and hollow interior. 3 1/4 in x 3 1/4 in (8.3 x 8.3 cm). Intact with black resist over orange glossy surfaces, mineral deposits throughout. Ex Dr. John Hilsabeck estate, Orange County.
