Description
1) City Marshall, Mexico, Missouri, cabinet card, bearded subject wearing large "CITY SHERIFF" marked badge. CONDITION: good contrast in detail heavily scuffed edges specially on bottom left corner. 2) 8" x 5" lengthwise view of jurors & Sheriff Robert E. Lindsay; all identified on Verso, trial lasted several weeks before a guilty plea was found in the murder trial, Hallidays Cove, WVM, May 9, 1887. CONDITION: image is good overall with soiling and staining. 3) Hamburg, Iowa back marked cabinet card of unidentified lawman wearing star badge. Subject appears to be missing his left hand appears as a nub resting on unknown contraption on table at his side, interesting content. CONDITION: good overall, about half inch chip in emulsion, soiled. PROVENANCE: Martin Lane Historic & Western Americana Lifetime Collection. (02-21969/JS). $300-400.
