Louis XVI style The Work of De La Fosse - 1st album Historical iconology (104 plates) DELAFOSSE ; Style Louis XVI L'Oeuvre de De La Fosse - 1st album Iconologie historique ( 104 planches) DELAFOSSE. Series D 54 plates. Note from the title page: The attributes and Trophies of plates 28 to 54 complete the series of historical iconology plates published in the 1st album, series A Published in Paris by Armand Guérinet, circa 1900. A cardboard folio, paper over boards, red fabric spine with black fabric corner hinges. , table, and 55 plates on 42 sheets. Plates 28 to 54 complete series A. Condition: Pages are each neatly stamped on the back " Property of Ethel H. Traphagen. This is an ex-libris copy from the Ethel Traphagen Leigh Memorial Library collection, having formerly been part of the design library from the Traphagen School. The paper shows age-related changes, tanning minor edge chipping, dings, and small corner folds that do not impact images. Neat writing on inner covers and title page related to library use. 8.5 x 12 inches. Please observe the photos provided for the best assessment of the condition of this item. Note: The Traphagen School of Fashion was an art and design school in operation from 1923 to 1991, and was located at 1680 Broadway in New York City. The school was founded and directed by Ethel Traphagen Leigh (1883–1963) with a focus on the foundational concepts of the American design movement. This was one of the earliest fashion schools and played a role in the development of American fashion by educating over 28,000 students in 68 years of operation.
