RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award for Smash Mouth album Fush Yu Mang. The album was released on July 8, 1997 and certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA on May 12, 1999 for two million copies sold. Remember lead singer and founding member Steve Harwell (1967-2023) with this award.

The debut album from the group produced the hit "Walkin' on the Sun" which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Modern Rock chart. The group also covered War's "Why Can't We Be Friends?". The album reached #19 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 1999 making it approx. 25 years old. It is presented to a former radio program director. Their name has been obscured only in the photos for privacy. A letter of provenance from the recipient will be provided with purchase. Provenance letter can be seen in images with executive's name obscured for privacy. Item buyer will receive a non-obscured copy of the letter.

This award is in VG to Excellent condition with only a very minor mar or two on the frame and plexiglass and it also has its' original Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker on its' back.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
