Description
A GEORGE VI SILVER-GILT SCENT FLASK
by Tessiers Ltd, London 1938, in the form of a George I silver tea caddy, slightly tapering oval form, with a slightly stepped base, the screw-on cap with a baluster finial, engraved with an initial below a marquess' coronet. 13.5cm high, 10 troy ounces
The side is fully marked, and the cover, underneath, and stopper are also marked. The base is stamped with the maker's name. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, which is noticeable as a softening of the gilding.
