Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico, Guerrero region, Sultepec / Mezcala, Late Preclassic Period, ca. 400 to 100 BCE. A serpentine stone face maskette, with recessed, cupule shaped eyes, hooked nose, and raised brow with drilled holes on the upper corners for suspension. Size of maskette: 3" L x 2.81" W (7.6 cm x 7.1 cm); display case: 12.25" L x 8" W (31.1 cm x 20.3 cm)
