Oil on canvas painting by Narayan Shridhar Bendre, also known as N.S. Bendre, 1910 to 1992, an Indian artist, founder of the Baroda group, an experimental art school which offered an alternative to the nationalism associated with Santiniketan and the Bengal School. The artwork depicts a multi-figure scene, people walking to a Hindu temple. This painting combines traditional Indian miniature painting with French Pointillism. Untitled. Signed by the artist and dated 1964 in the lower right. Collectible Mid Century Modernist Fine Art, Southeast Asian Artists.
