Below the wood handle is an iron lever connected to a wire rod and spring that opens and closes the iron dispense mouth that controls the seed flow. An iron panel on the front forms the hopper - the funnel top that tapers downward. This may have been handmade, but farmers could also buy similar models in catalogs. This is perfect for use as rustic farmhouse decor! Size: 33" L x 7.5" W (83.8 cm x 19 cm)

Condition
Heavily used and fair antique condition, and probably left exposed to elements. Losses to iron due to oxidation, patina, and tearing. Wood handle is reattached with adhesive. Not fully functional, although lever and drop mouth opens.
