Ancient Near East, Sasanian Empire, ca. 2nd to 7th century CE. A set of 3 hand-carved stone stamp seals, each with a unique motif incised on the face. The dark hematite stamp features a recumbent ibex; the carnelian with a petite altar; and the largest chalcedony stamp with an abstract zoomorphic creature. Size of largest: 0.89" L x 0.52" W x 0.78" H (2.3 cm x 1.3 cm x 2 cm)
