Waterman 72 eyedropper fill black chased hard rubber fountain pen with box and papers. The 7X series of Waterman pens were made when their 5X lever fill pens were by far their most popular. Some purchasers wanted an eyedropper fill pen as they were used to using one and the entire barrel could be filled with ink. The 7X series differed from Waterman’s earlier eyedroppers in that it has a screwed down cap rather than the earlier slip cap. 72 pen with red grease in both barrel imprints with bright rubber, fine flexible Waterman Ideal New York 2 14K nib with eyedropper, original box and papers. Length 5 1/8” and 6 3/8” posted, filling mechanism is eyedropper fill. Overall excellent condition, box also bright with wear to corners.
