Ding Guanpeng, "Statue of Sakyamuni" on silk, vertical scroll Ding Guanpeng (born in the late Kangxi period and died approximately after the 35th year of the Qianlong period (1770)) was a painter of the Qing Dynasty. His artistic activities ranged from the late Kangxi period to the mid-Qianlong period. He was a native of Shuntian (today's Beijing). Ding Guanpeng entered the imperial court in the fourth year of Yongzheng's reign (1726) and became a painter. He was good at painting figures, Taoism, landscapes, and portraits. His painting style was neat and meticulous, and he was influenced by European paintings. His younger brother Ding Guanhe also served in the imperial court.
