Printed by J. T. Paterson & Co Augusta GA Dimensions 6.25 X 2.75. Note: signature same as one on in the UNC Chapel Hill Library Collection- s/n 1509; ---1862 ten cents bee hive treasury note dated Sept 1, 1862. Signed by C. L. Rights. s/n 94. Printed by J. T. Paterson & Co Augusta GA. Approximate dimensions 4.2 X 2.25.; and ---1863 five cents prosperity standing by seated liberty holding liberty pole and cap (variant 1) treasury note dated Sept 1, 1862. signed by Thos W Dewey. s/n 680. Printed by J. T. Paterson & Co Augusta GA. Approximate dimensions 4.2 X 2.25. Note: signature same as one on in the UNC Chapel Hill Library Collection- s/n (none). This note irregular shape rectangle due to note being hand cut. NOTE: North Carolina Civil War treasury notes were almost always signed by state officials, not off-the-street people hired to sign as is the case with CSA paper money.
