Description
Featured in this lot is this Anton Sir, Union, Dawson County branding iron circa 1930's. This branding iron features a a cast iron construction that shows a straight shaft with a ring end and a L & L face that is used to put in the fire and branded on the cattle's left hip and a horses left thigh with a vent for both below the original. The condition of the Montana branding iron is good with oxidation shown throughout the branding iron but otherwise shows good well preserved condition. The measurements of this branding iron is 36 3/8" x 4 1/4" x 3". The collective weight of this branding iron is 2lb 8oz.
