Rare & Historic Rose Gold
Case Material: Rose Gold, Enamel

Condition: Excellent Wear consistent with age and use.
An Historic and Rare Rose Gold Enamelled Keyless Pivoted Detente Cronometre Half Hunter Pocket Watch C1880.
Dial: The excellent white enamel dial with Roman Numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numbers at five minute intervals, subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock and gold original spade hands with a blued steel seconds hand.
Case: The heavy 18ct rose gold half hunter case with inlaid blue enamel Roman numerals to the front of the case. The rear of the case is beautifully enamelled with the Coat of Arms of General Friedrich Wilhem von Steuben. The inner case is engraved Chronometre a l' Esperance, 33 Bould st Martin Paris. The cases are all numbered and marked18Kt Gold.
Movement: The superb nickel finished, highly jewelled movement with keyless pivoted detente chronometre escapement Breguet overcoil hairspring and fast slow regulation.
The Coat of Arms belong to General Von Steuben (1730-1794) He fought alongside General George Washington to help him defeat the British and gain Independence from Britain on the 4th July 1776. This is a rare and important watch to carry this Crest. An extract from the Royal College of Arms is available with this watch.
