A LARGE TURQUOISE-GROUND CIRCULAR 'DRAGON' BOX AND COVER
Qianlong six-character mark, Guangxu
The domed cover carved and glazed in aubergine, ochre, green and cream colours to depict two confronting coiled five-clawed dragons separated by a flaming pearl among further flames and clouds, within a ruyi head border, the border repeated below the rim above a band of waves, the based glazed turquoise over an incised mark, the interior enamelled turquoise, wood stand.
27cm (10 5/8in) diam. (3).

Light wear and firing flaws. There is a small loss to the turquoise enamelling on the edge of the interior of the cover.
