A Louis XVI beechwood bergère
late 18th century
height 36in (91.5cm); width 27in (69cm); depth of seat 20in (51cm)

Condition

Height of seat 18 1/2in; height of arm 23 3/4in; overall depth 29in. Structurally sound. Originally painted. General marks, nicks, scratches, cracks, rubbing and wear commensurate with age and use. Areas of flaking stain to surface. Later support blocks to underside. Reupholstered. Upholstery good overall.
