Cincinnati: American Reform Tract and Book Society, 1858. Inscribed by an early owner "T.N. Haskell Bought of Aunt Sally, 1858." First edition. Publisher's brown cloth, covers stamped with a geometrical design in blind, orange endpapers. 5 3/4 x 3 3 3/4 inches (14.5 x 9.5 cm); vi, 216 pp., [8] pp. ads; frontispiece portratit of Aunt Sally and a second portrait of the Reverend Williams. Light binding wear, one signature a trifle overopened but generally a clean copy.
A significant abolitionist tract and a slave narrative of note, this little book was intended for a juvenile audience.
