Keulemans; Together with the Introductory volume to the Biologia Centrali-Americana. Zoology, Botany, and Archaeology. [London:] 1915. Original cloth. With photogravure portraits of F.D. Godman and Osbert Salvin, possibly ink signed, and eight double-page maps, 147 pp. The atlas volume with wear and splits to joints, other light wear to bindings, the plates generally clean, some wear to the cloth of the introductory volume, otherwise fine.
A "sumptuous monograph of the birds of Central America" (Zimmer). This is the complete ornithological section of this record of the flora and fauna of Mexico and Central America. In total, the work ran to 63 volumes. The work is noted for its very fine plates by J.G. Keulemans. Salvin died before the work was completed; the work was completed by Godman. The introduction includes fine portrait plates of both.
