Early Papier MachÈ "Alice" on Motschmann-Type Body
10" shoulder head doll with molded and painted hair and facial features, inset glass eyes, closed mouth, cloth upper torso, arms and legs, composition lower arms jointed at the wrists, papier mache pelvic section, carved wood lower legs and "boots", antique clothing likely original to the doll. Left lower arm is detached. Clothing has not been removed for complete inspection. "Alice" pin has been added.
