This monographic volume, intends to outline figure of Fratel Venzo - Mario Venzo (Italian, 1900 - 1989) as an artist and Jesuit in the historical-artistic context of the twentieth century.
Born in Rossano Veneto, from 1925 Mario Venzo lived in Paris, and in 1941, he devoted himself to religious life and entered the Society of Jesus as a coadjutor brother under the name of Brother Venzo. He continued his artistic activity in the Jesuit houses of Lonigo and Gallarate for the rest of his life. Venzo said he does not consider himself a religious Painter, but a Religious painter who sings God with color.
