Trained as an electrical engineer and studied physics, biophysics and medicine.18.08.1932, with Auguste Piccard, he ascended by balloon into the stratosphere at an altitude of 16,197 metres. On 21 June 1934, with Vander Elst, they used a winch to descend a 145 m drop into the Heyle chasm (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) and reached a depth of -250 m, the French record.Signed printed photograph applied to cardboard in-16 to Paul Langer.
