Levant.- Turner (William) Journal of a Tour in the Levant, 3 vol., first edition, half-titles, 21 engraved or aquatints plates only (of 22), of which 6 hand-coloured and 2 folding, 2 folding engraved maps, scattered spotting, occasional marginal finger-soiling, modern half-calf, a little rubbed, [Blackmer 1687; Abbey, Travel 375; Atabey 1251], 8vo, 1820.*** Turner was attached to the British Embassy at Constantinople. He was in the Levant between 1812 and 1816 during which time he travelled extensively.
