Description
After an important scientific mission abroad, he was an intern at the Salptrerie and the Hotel-Dieu from 1871. He served with distinction as a doctor in the besieged town of Toul, then in the Loire army. Elected as a Member of Parliament, he was one of the most active members of the Republican Left.
