Description
Offered here for your consideration are original World War II sketches by Victor Clyde Forsythe. Forsythe was well respected in many fields of the art world. He was a superior illustrator of newspaper comics, a highly regarded "pleine-aire" desert landscape painter, and illustrator of military action. He was also a mentor to Norman Rockwell. This lot includes finely rendered pencil drawings, many of which appear to be proposals for posters to boost morale and the sale of bonds during World War II. This is very nice artwork for collectors of militaria, caricatures, and plain old pleasing art. Bid now to get these fantastic sketches!
