CHARLES CABRIER, ENGLISH GEORGIAN GILT BRASS AND ENAMEL PAIR CASED KEY-WIND POCKET WATCH, gilt cylinder escapement movement with engraved and pierced balance cock, four square baluster pillars, and a rose-cut diamond endstone, protected by a removable dustcap, having a 38 mm white enamel dial with Arabic chapter ring and gilt skeleton hands, housed in an inner open-face case with high dome bull's eye crystal, gilt outer case with engraved edges, back featuring blue guilloche enamel embellished by gold stars, interior back lined with old pink silk fabric, includes a key. Movement and dustcap each signed "C. Cabrier / London / 5673", inner case with "IN" maker's mark. Circa 1760. Outer case 51.7 mm D.

Condition
Very good overall condition with some scratches to the top plate around a pillar top, dial with a few light scratches, cases with some wear to gilt, enamel with some surface wear and scratches, lower edge with area of hairlines and a corresponding spot of flaking. Currently running but not timed for accuracy (see Catalogue Guarantee).
