Antique Swiss Silver and Turquoise

Antique Swiss Silver Gilt and Turquoise Blue Guilloche Enamel Pocket Watch/Pendant dated circa 1900 made by Fauvette HAD. This striking piece is decorated with a gold enamelled 'fleur-de-lis' motif and its in an excellent condition considering its age. Fleur-De-Lis has been described by some as depicting a stylized lily or lotus flower, but other historians attribute its origin to a species of wild iris. The symbol has been used to represent French royalty, and in that sense it is said to signify perfection, light, and life.
The pocket watch is decorated with beautifully enamelled seven gold iris flowers together with scrolled design representing a stem and leaves and also some red enamelled dots contrasting with radiant turquoise blue and gold design. The face of the watch is also decorated with a gold floral accents. This piece would look wonderful as a pendant.
Hallmarked and stamped inside of the case with marks: 'Fauvette HAD', Swiss, 935, ARGENT DORE, together with a number 3099.
Pocket watch measures approximately 28mm wide and 10.7mm thick.

Excellent condition with a minor scratches and wear. No loss to the enamel
