4 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. diam.
Note: The original cup from the the Sevres service for the dairy at Rambouillet was designed by Hubert Roberts based on ancient forms that were being unearthed at the time. Only sixty-five pieces of the service were ever delivered and over two shipments in 1787-88. The original design was brightly colored, Sevres created the version in white an gold for Empress Josephine Bonaparte in the 19th century using the original molds that are still employed in the production of these cups today.
