Description: 3 pp. (single folded sheet) 26.7x20.2 cm (10½x8").Rare printing of these regulations promulgated "pursuant to authority conferred by acts of Congress approved October 1, 1890, February 7, 1905, and June 11, 1906." Signed in type by Acting Superintendent Major Wm. T. Littebrant, 1st Cavalry, U.S. Army, and by Lewis C. Laylin, Asst. Secretary, Dept. of the Interior. The rules are manifold, leading off with No. 1, "Interference with, or molestation of, any bear or other wild animal in the park in any way or by any person not authorized by the superintendent is prohibited." Later we learn that "Dogs are not permitted in the park, and cats only on special authority." OCLC locates single copies for 1890 and 1912, both at the University of California Berkeley, but no copies of this 1914 issue, and no others earlier.
Condition
Light circular stain on 1st page from being used as a coaster, bottom third of pp. 3-4, which would have been blank on both sides, clipped off; very good overall.
