BOOK CONDITION: Fine; a solid, tight, clean copy in a Fine jacket with light shelf wear to the extremities (now protected in a new, clear mylar cover). Overall a solid, clean, collectible copy of the first edition. Designed by John Cheim. "Bear Pond" is Bruce Weber's beautiful 1990 celebration of the beauty of youth, the Adirondacks, and the occasional Newfoundland. Dedicated to his then-ailing longtime friend and colleague Donald Sterzin, it was published to benefit the New York City AIDS resource center and contains the moving original poem "Gold Day" by Reynolds Price. Cited on pages 346-347 of The Hasselblad Center's "The Open Book".
