FABERGE - PAIR of SILVER and DIAMONDS PANTHER CUFFLINKS
These are Russian figural gilt silver jewelry cufflinks adorned with a relief image of a panther's head, covered in black enamel and featuring diamond eyes. The toggles are also encrusted with diamonds. They are presented in an original Faberge box, marked on the inside.
HALLMARKS: '88' for silver standard, 'FABERGE' in Cyrillic and 'AH' for August Wilhelm Holmstrom - famous FABERGE workmaster - please see the information below.
CONDITION: In very good condition considering its age, with no visible damage or repairs. For additional information, please refer to the pictures.
PROVENANCE: 1. By origin, from a family of Russian emigrants in the THIRD generation in the USA; 2. Antique Arena Inc, Brooklyn, NY, USA, February 18, 2023 (the winner will receive this information); 3. Our sale of this item adds another layer of provenance (please print this page). DIMENSIONS: Box: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 (6.5 x 6.5 x 3 cm). Cufflinks: 1 1/4 x 3/4 inches (3.2 x 2 cm). Weight: 20 grams.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, cufflinks made in Faberge shop were sold on Live Auctioneers, Sotheby's, and Christie's for $5,200 (2 years ago), $10,000 (12 years ago), $16,000 (7 years ago), and $16,250 (9 years ago) - please refer to the screenshots for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.
WARRANTY: The buyer has 3 days to inspect items for originality, valued at up to $5,000, and 5 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.
NO RESERVE: Most of the auctioned items have NO reserve price or have reserve prices set at incredibly low levels, typically ranging from 30-40% of the low estimate price.
PAYMENT: For this particular item, please use Wire transfer, Zelle, Certified Check, or Money Order as methods of payment. You can also suggest other methods of payment. Canadian winners can make payments to a Canadian Bank in CAD via Check, Money Order, Wire Transfer, or Interac e-Transfer.

August HOLMSTROM: August Wilhelm Holmstrom (Swedish August Wilhelm Holmstrom, 1829, Helsingfors, Grand Duchy of Finland - 1903, Russian Empire) is a Finnish jeweler, a master of the firm of Carl Faberge in St. Petersburg. He studied at the Petersburg jeweler Herold, in 1850 became an apprentice. In 1857 he became a master and founded his own workshop. In the same year he took over the management of Gustav Faberge's workshop in St. Petersburg. Along with the well-known Faberge eggs, Holmstrom created a number of high-quality, exclusive and valuable ornaments that are currently stored in the Hermitage.
