Description
Nice lot of two World War I and II German award documents, each 1p. 8vo., including: a ‘Wehrkampftage 1942’ (‘Military Combat Days 1942’) certificate with the facsimile signature of SA Commander Viktor Lutze. At the top is an embossed SA sports emblem; a certificate to Gebr. Spohn awarding the performance badge for exemplary promotion of strength through joy. The front cover of this award bears an image of the R.A.D. emblem, a swastika within a cogwheel. The two World War I documents are presented to Customs Secretary Alex Jaesche, include: a certificate for honorable participation in the war, dated Oct. 27, 1921 and bearing the facsimile signature of Paul von Hindenburg; and the Cross of Honor for frontline fighters, dated Feb. 21, 1935 with the signature of the Charlottenburg Polizeiprasident. Four pieces, fine.
