Description

Watercolor titled "Packing rare game birds, Poultry farm near Pomfret Center, Connecticut" by Sascha Maurer, 13 3/4 in. x 21 1/4 in. sight, unsigned, circa 1955, Provenance: Ford Times Art Collection for Schools. Maurer was born in Germany and studied there at the School of Applied Arts before coming to this country where he taught in New York and became a recognized illustrator and landscape painter, especially noted for his scenes of New England.
