Description
A pair of brass keys for railroads that operated in Ohio including a double ringed barrel key for Toledo, Port Clinton and Lakeside Railway stamped TPC&LRY in serif on the front and 161 on the back. The lettering is strong but the front shows pocket wear to the double rings, the end of the barrel is slightly dented and out of round, and the bottom of the barrel and bit show tarnish. This railway was an interurban electrified line serving northwestern Ohio incorporated in 1902. Also includes a key stamped DM&T RY in serif font for Detroit, Monroe and Toledo Railroad, a shortline railroad that opened in 1856. The key shows strong lettering, slight bend of the hilt, minor pocket wear, and tarnish along the edge of the length of the key and bottom of the barrel and bit. See photos for best description.
