Pre World War Two U.S. Army Air Corps (USAAC) Brooks Field, Texas pennant. This pennant measures 9.375" x 4". No holes or tears. A tiny portion of the tip is missing. From July 2, 1926 until June 20, 1941, the official designation of the aerial component of the United States Military was the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC). On June 20, 1941, the U.S. Army Air Corps was renamed the United States Army Air Force. Brooks Field was founded during WWI in February, 1918. it was located 7 miles Southeast of San Antonio, Texas. During WWI this field was used for balloon and airship training. From 1922 until 1931 the 11th School Group at Brooks Field served as the Primary Training School for the U.S. Army Air Service and U.S. Army Air Corps. From 1931 until WW2, Brooks Field became the home of the Aerial Observation Center. In-house shipping is available.
