T. R. Williams Stereocard, Scenes in Our Village, No.37, text to reverse reads SCENES IN OUR VILLAGE, ‘LITTLE MARY AND HER MAGPIE. All must love something-it is nature's will, And nature ever will be nature still; Men love their dogs, and, at a certain age, Maidens love cats, and parrots in their cage; Why, then, should not our little Mary set Her heart upon her pretty magpie pet. Condition: card finger marks minor foxing , images good & strong. Note: These 1850's views are of the village of Hinton Waldrist in Oxfordshire and are considered to be Williams's masterpiece. They were the subject of the book 'A Village Lost and Found', by Brian May & Elena Vidal, published 2009.
