Description
North America, Southwest, Central eastern Arizona, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), Greater Mogollon, Greater Salado, Upper Gila (Highland Salado), ca. 1250 to 1350 CE. A hand-built pottery of gently carinated form with a round but stable base and a tall, cylindrical rim. The redware pottery vessel features a white-ground exterior that is decorated with applied black pigment to form abstract spiral, geometric, checkerboard, and linear motifs. Size: 6.6" Diameter x 6.4" H (16.8 cm x 16.3 cm)

Condition
Professional repair to rim and body, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Light earthen deposits and abrasions, with fading to exterior pigment, and minor pitting, otherwise in nice condition. Good preservation to painted motifs. Previous inventory label beneath base.
