A wooden casket with marquetry decoration, Augsburg, 16th and 19th centuryRechteckiger Kasten aus ebonisiertem Nussbaumholz auf vier Kugelfüßen. Von Flammleisten gerahmte Kassetten mit feinem Marketeriedekor aus verschiedenen Obst- und Edelhölzern. Auf dem Deckel und den Seitenfeldern Ruinenlandschaften, auf der Vorderseite die Darstellung von Musikinstrumenten, die Rückseite mit Ranken- und Blütendekor. Abschließbar, Schlüssel fehlt. Das Innere mit altem rot-braunen Samt ausgekleidet. Maße 30 x 43 x 32 cm. Hochwertig gearbeitete Schatulle des Historismus, die Füllungen der Kassetten originale Teile eines Augsburger Kabinetts des 16. Jhdts.Condition: II +
