Description
Designed for children, the comic album is a blow by blow retelling of Fidel Castro’s guerrilla war with the Batista government from 1952-1959. Each scene from the revolution is pictured on a trading card given away with FELICES Canned Fruits. Castro, the hero in the forefront (nspired by Jose Marti’s Cuban independence movement in the 1800s, with Marti's image in the sky) is flanked by his brother Raul and of course Che. Each page is illustrated with guns, grenades, Cuban flags, and tanks.
The cards picture backroom dealing by Batista, the suffering & sacrifice of the Cuban people, battle scenes, and the brave guerrillas fighting for Cuba's future.
