Two creamware mugs, circa 1800
Printed in black with titled portraits of 'Lord Nelson' encircled by laurel wreaths, the larger example with a verse 'Here's a health to brave Nelson! Old Englands boast, 'The Hero of the Nile', Let this be our toast', 14.8cm high, the second mug with Nelson standing on deck by cannon, his remaining hand resting on his sword, above another patriotic inscription, 12.8cm high (2)
