Description
Measuring just under 4 1/2" in length, this historically important bait is the very first model Luny Frog. Originating from the Heddon archives, completed on March 7, 1926, with this date factory handwritten in pencil on the belly. The Luny's earliest 4 color "frog spot" pattern remains vivid on the back, undrilled and unrigged, with light wear, small flakes, missing a piece of the under-body on one upper leg and minor separations between the top and bottom sections. An extraordinary and significant "lure", purchased from the highly respected Heddon collector Walt Blue. A one-of-a-kind piece from Heddon's history that should reside in the most advanced collection.
From the Russell White Collection
