Early Needlework Sampler Stitched with the Hale Family Genealogy, Leominster, Massachusetts, After 1804. Worked in silk threads on linen with a white circle within a floral spray at each corner, and enclosing six rows of the alphabet, a row of numbers, and the genealogy "Samuel Hale born May 25, 1749, married the widow Hepzibah/ Whitney Nov 29 1790 born Oct 1759, Their Children/ Charles born Sept 7 1791 Hepzibah born Oct 23 1793/ Eleanor born Oct 9 1795 Elias born Mar 29 1798/ Sally born Oct 16 1800 Joel born 15 1804."
