Renaissance Revival Carved Walnut and Burl Walnut Veneer Armchair, John Jelliff & Co., Newark, New Jersey, Circa 1870. The molded arched crest surmounted by a leaf and above a female classical mask roundel, flanked by palm leaves and turned finials, the ears surmounted by finials and applied with medallions and palm leaves, above the crimson tufted cut-velvet padded back and over-upholstered seat within classical female bust arm supports, the incised apron centering a roundel, raised on frontal turned and cuffed legs. H: 40.625 in., W: 25.725 in., D: 28.75 in.
