DESCRIPTION: French Kingwood Vitrine circa 1890, by Henry Dasson (French, 1825–1896). Of exceptional color and quality with gilt bronze mountings and two shaped glass shelves (not included), glass panels to the side and one door to the front. Marble topped and stamped on the wood top beneath the marble with the makers name "Henry Dasson".

Henry Dasson (1825–1896) was a renowned nineteenth century Parisian maker of gilt-bronze mounted furniture. Unlike other cabinetmakers of the time, Dasson began his career as a bronze sculptor, and consequently one characteristic of his work is the quality of his bronze and more precisely of the chiselling.
