Description
Group of American Painted and Etched Gold Porcelain Wares, Late Nineteenth-First Half Twentieth Century. Comprising a cream pitcher and sugar bowl and cover, Pickard China Company, Chicago, Illinois, 1898-1903, each painted with squirrels cavorting on foliate vines ending in flowering tendrils, each printed "HANDPAINTED CHINA/ W/ PICKARD/ A" in brown; a jar and cover decorated by the Omar Studios Guild, Worcester, Massachusetts, etched with a parrot, acorns and oak leaves, printed "OMAR GUILD/ STUDIOS/ WORCESTER, MASS.;" and a 'Doves, Roses and Daisies' pattern four-piece coffee service, Wheeling Decorating Co., Wheeling, West Virginia, 1910-25, all but the tray marked with the gold "WHEELING DECORATING/ Co. W. VA/ GLASS CHINA" diamond mark, the tray shape number "432," the remaining "2317." Coffeepot: H: 7.75 in., W: 4.125 in., D: 7.75 in. Jar: H: 6.625 in., Diam: 4.5 in.
