"The Capitoline Doves" or "Doves of Pliny," Grand Tour Pietra Dura Plaque, Circa 1880. After a Roman floor mosaic discovered in 1737 at Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli, Italy, partial label on the reverse from Florence, Italy. H: 4.5 in., W: 6.375 in., D: 0.625 in.
