A GEORGE III SILVER TABLE KNIFE
by Richard Richardson II, Chester 1788, inscribed Pledge of Friendship; together with an early George III silver sauceboat, maker's mark rubbed, London 1761; and a Victorian silver shell-form butter dish, by Charles Frederick Hancock, London 1872. (3) Knife 22cm long, 7.7 troy ounces gross
The knife has a clear set of marks on the blade. Some marks remain visible on the handle. Wear to the handle, but the blade is in good order. The blade is also inscribed R*R. The marks on the sauceboat are rubbed. It is engraved D / R E on the underside. It is in generally good condition. The maker's mark on the butter dish is a little rubbed but perfectly legible. It is in very good condition without any personalised engraving.
