Condition
Unexamined out of frame.
The panel is cradled on the reverse. The varnish is a little dirty.
There is a little infilling along the vertical panel join, left hand side. A small vertical split, with accompanying discoloured infilling, is visible, upper right. The darker pigments are a little thin in places. In strong light it is possible to see some restoration to the landscape, centre right and sky upper right.
Inspection under UV light is hindered by thick varnish but it is possible to see: the aforementioned restoration to the landscape, centre right and sky; the aforementioned infilling to the panel join and split; scattered infillings and retouchings to the background; an area of restoration to the background, centre left; and a little infilling to the birds nest. Further restoration cannot be excluded.
