Central scene of U.S. Marines making a beach landing with fire and smoke coming from an out of frame explosion. in the sky are three American historical military engagements, fighting Barbary pirates, frontier fighters and charging San Juan Hill. Pencil notation in the margin reads "Cut out black as much as possible - etch... for trade papers". Stamp on board verso reads "Copied by Forster Studio 12-7-43 A4814". on Cold pressed Whatman drawing board, H 20.5", W 23.25". Matted and framed under glass, H 23", W 26".
